How To Differentiate Between H4 And H7 Headlights!

There are various kinds of lights installed in a single vehicle. Each of them has specific work to perform and never fails to do so. When you visit the market you will get a variety of headlights that are required by specific vehicles or motorcycles. Some of them even give you the scope of customising your headlamps. H4 and H7 bulbs are two variants of headlights that you can choose between. Both H4 and H7 bulbs are high intensity halogen bulbs that emit extremely bright light.

H4 bulbs

H4 bulbs are built with two filaments that give the option of high and low beams in one single light attachment. This was developed for European racing cars and are available in multiple variants like white, blue, violet and yellow.

H7 bulbs

H7 bulbs have only one filament and are available in white, blue, violet and yellow. The difference between H4 and H7 bulbs is that it can be fitted in a different socket that is not meant for H7. The only requirement is a two-pronged plug that leads to the connection.

By now, you should be aware of the differences between H4 and H7 bulbs. However, you should be well aware of the installing instruction and go through the manuals before opting for a new headlamp. This is crucial because bulbs having high wattage can damage the entire lighting system of your vehicle. It can also affect the reflector due to high intensity reflection. Contact the service centre of your vehicle to ensure that the headlight is suitable for your variant. High beam headlights can also be blinding to the oncoming drivers.

In each of the bulbs, there are different settings to adjust the beam according to the size of your vehicle to ensure safety for other drivers. Hence, select the slop wisely.
